The short version
FastPIPE, from FastEST, Inc., is on screen piping and plumbing estimating software for mechanical contractors. It covers pipe, fittings, valves, and assemblies, with a catalog of over 150,000 items, labour hours, and fabrication support. That is contractor estimating at its most specialised, and Monaro does not try to compete with it.
Monaro is built for the other side of the counter: distributors quoting terminal equipment from the drawing set. Schedules are extracted and symbols counted automatically, then the same platform runs supplier RFQs, quote generation, and ERP sync.

When FastPIPE is the right choice
You are a mechanical or plumbing contractor bidding installed work. You need pipe takeoffs by spec, labour units, and fabrication detail. FastPIPE's depth in piping systems is exactly that, and nothing in Monaro replaces it.
When Monaro is the right choice
You are a distributor branch quoting the scheduled equipment: air terminals, fans, rooftop units, and fixtures. The bottleneck is counting symbols and retyping schedules. Monaro turns that into an automated step that finishes in under 20 minutes, then connects it to supplier RFQs, pricing, and the quote itself.
